releasing humans for more challenging

and creative and demanding jobs. But

like any technology, it can be used for

what you choose. And therefore, what's

absolutely crucial is the values that go

into the use of AI. And increasingly

with agentic AI, the values that are put

into the AI that it's asked to

bit of kit that allows you to input some

data into it and it essentially uh

brings back to life a deceased relative.

I mean, on the on the face of it, that

sounds really disturbing, but I can

imagine there is a market for this. Some

people will want to be able to have that

connection with someone they've lost.

it. And uh we all already have a great

deal of evidence from a related

capability, which is the companion AI.

And this is AI that can generate a

it's uh the particularly vulnerable are

And uh we've seen first of all how that

grows. Um some of them like um character

terrible harm that it can do.

And uh we'd already begun to see that in

the UK with the tragic case in 2017 of

Molly Russell, who was this lovely

14-year-old girl who took her own life

under the influence of social media. And

only this weekend in an interview with

the Guardian, her father Ian Russell has

bemoaned the slowness and failure of

Ofcom to bring safety for people of

Molly Russell's age and situation. He's

calling for a replacement of the

leadership of Ofcom because of the harm

that's done and because of the the

difficulty in regulating. At this very

moment, there's a case going on in the

United States of the parents of Su Sets,

who was another 14year-old boy, in this

case, a boy who died by suicide after

prolonged interaction with with um the

AI, the chatbot.
